Man Jumps Off Overpass Onto I-5

FIFE, WA - A 28-year-old man was seriously injured Sunday after he jumped off an I-5 pedestrian overpass and onto the highway, according to Washington State Patrol.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. in Fife at the 54th Avenue overpass, which is where the Emerald Queen Casino is located. The man, a Federal Way resident, landed in lane three of the highway.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. Police are still investigating why he jumped from the overpass.
