'Moisture Surge' Coming To Puget Sound Thursday: NWS
A big change in weather will roll into Puget Sound just in time for the Thursday morning commute.

SEATTLE, WA - A storm system will bring a "moisture surge" to Puget Sound beginning early Thursday and lasting through Friday, according to the National Weather Service. This will be the first major rain event in a while, capable of dropping several inches of rain in some spots.
The storm system will push rain and breezy southerly winds into the area beginning early Thursday morning. Rain will be heavy on Thursday night, and will continue throughout the day Friday.
The Puget Sound area could get between 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches by Friday. The Cascades could see up to 3 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service, although snow levels will stay at a relatively higher 8,000 feet - much higher than any of the mountain passes. If you're headed out to the Pacific Coast, prepare for up to 2 inches of rain.
