Most 'Hipster' City In US Is In Washington, But It's Not Seattle
Many would guess that Seattle is the hippest city in the state. But according to a new list, it's one you'd never expect.

VANCOUVER, WA - Three of the top 10 "hipster cities" in the U.S., including the No. 1 hipster city, are in Washington, but none of them are Seattle. That's according to a new ranking by the website Movehub, which is based in the United Kingdom.
The most "hispter" city in the country is, apparently, Vancouver?
Movehub based its rankings on the number of microbreweries, thrift stores, vegan restaurants, and tattoo "parlours" in a given city per 100,000 people, and Vancouver apparently has the highest rates of those businesses in the whole country. Vancouver also had the highest rent increase of any city on the list last year at over 16 percent.

"Although Portland, Ore., tends to enjoy/suffer the strongest hipster connections in pop culture (and with good reason), it’s been comfortably beaten by northern neighbour Vancouver, Washington, which tops the index," Movehub, apparently also pretty surprised, wrote about the list.
Coming up behind Vancouver, Tacoma was ranked the No. 6 most-hipster city, followed at No. 7 by Spokane.
