PETA Erects Memorial To Chickens Killed In Clark County Crash
An important update on last week's chicken spill near Vancouver - the one where a police officer named "Chicks" was the lead investigator.

DOLLARS CORNER, WA - There's an important update on a story that broke last week about a truck full of chickens that crashed north of Vancouver: the activist group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) plans to erect a billboard near the scene of the crash to remember all the chickens who died.
To get you up to speed on the story: last Wednesday, a truck hauling chickens from a Foster Farms facility made an illegal U-turn along SR 502 in the hamlet of Dollars Corner. The truck tipped over, spilling many chickens. Some chickens survived, others did not. The main investigator of the crash was a Washington State Patrol trooper named B.D. Chicks.
PETA's billboard will go up near the scene of the calamity. To avoid future chicken-related motor vehicle accidents, the advertisement will encourage chicken-eaters to just not eat poultry. PETA wants meat-eaters to go vegan (a diet free of any animal-derived food, including meat, dairy products, and even honey).

According to PETA, animals frequently die in similar fashion to these chickens. The group has erected 50 billboards so far this year near where animals have died in crashes.
