Puget Sound Weekend Forecast: Rain, Sun, Heat

All types of summer weather will sweep through the region this weekend, including a return to hot temperatures.

SEATTLE, WA - The first weekend of summer in Western Washington will be a bit of a mixed bag - a slow crawl from Juneuary to just June.

The weekend kicks off with a chance of rain Friday night, particularly north of Edmonds and in southeast Pierce County. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-70s in most spots. On Sunday, temperatures will get up into the 80s with lots of sun.

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. East northeast wind 6 to 13 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 74. Calm wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. Northeast wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 79. North northwest wind around 9 mph.

Sunday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.
