Richland Man Bites Tukwila Officers During Wild Fight
A 25-year-old man from Richland fought the two officers, nearly getting one of their guns, police say.
TUKWILA, WA — A traffic stop gone wrong in Tukwila this week ended with two officers being bitten multiple times by a Richland man — and it all happened right after the officers attended National Night Out festivities
The incident happened on Tuesday night when the two officers found a stolen car driving along Tukwila International Boulevard near SR 99. When they pulled the car over, the 25-year-old driver jumped out and took off running.
One officer caught up to the man, and they began to fight. The suspect tried to grab the officer's Taser and gun, and then started biting. When the second officer showed up to help, the suspect bit him too, police said.

"The whole struggle lasted for over four minutes and ended with the suspect in custody and both officers injured with bites, multiple abrasions, and potential bone breaks," Tukwila police said in a Facebook post about the fight.
Both officers and the suspect went to the hospital after the fight. One officer will be off duty for two weeks to recover from his injuries. The Richland man was jailed on charges of third-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, attempting to disarm an officer, obstruction, and possession of a stolen gun.
