Rolled Semi Closes I-705 Ramp In Tacoma

TACOMA, WA — Drivers should expect delays after a semi-truck rolled on the southbound ramp from State Route 509 to Interstate 705 in Tacoma Thursday morning. According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the semi crashed shortly before 9:30 a.m. There was no immediate word on injuries, but an extended closure was expected. The ramp remained fully blocked, as the investigation and cleanup effort continued. WSDOT said crews got the trailer back on its wheels shortly before 11 a.m. The scene was fully cleared shortly after 11:20 a.m.
