A state trooper in Snohomish County spotted this Sharpie edit to an expired license plate tab.

This driver's doodling skills weren't enough to fool an eagle-eyed state trooper.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — This driver got credit for his coloring skills, but he also got a ticket.

A Washington State Patrol trooper pulled over a driver in Snohomish County this week and noticed something off about the driver's car tab. On closer inspection, the trooper could see the driver had used a Sharpie to turn "2018" into "2019."

"Their coloring skills are kind of on point but not good enough," Trooper Heather Axtman said on Twitter about the incident.
