WSP: Shots Fired At Semi After Crash Near Port Of Tacoma
Investigators said a driver fired several shots at a semi-truck after a rear-end crash on an Interstate 5 on-ramp.

TACOMA, WA — A southbound on-ramp to Interstate 5 was closed near the Port of Tacoma Thursday night after a car crash led to gunfire. According to Washington State Patrol, a semi rear-ended a silver car around 4:30 p.m. Troopers said the car's driver shot at the truck several times after the crash, but no one was hit or injured. The suspected shooter was arrested without incident.
According to WSDOT, police activity in the area caused delays for southbound drivers near milepost 136. The Port of Tacoma on-ramp will remain closed while the investigation continues.
What we know so far... Semi and a sedan were involved in a collision. The semi rear ended the sedan. Driver of the sedan then fired several shots at the semi. The Port of Tacoma Rd on-ramp to SB I-5 remains closed for police investigation. Drivers can detour to SR 509, I-705 to SB I-5. The SB I-5 exit to Port of Tacoma Road remains open as does the c/d and exit 135 to Bay Street. pic.twitter.com/3BpaVI0izD
