Small Plane Crashes Near Frederickson, 2 Rescued
Two people escaped with minor injuries after a plane crashed in a Pierce County field Wednesday morning.

SPANAWAY, WA — First responders rescued two men after a small plane crashed and flipped near Frederickson Wednesday morning. According to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue, the aircraft crash-landed in a field near 192nd Street East and 41st Avenue East. Investigators said the plane took off from Shady Acres Airport and the pilot was attempting an emergency landing after losing power. Both men, ages 64 and 76, had to be pulled from the wreckage but were able to walk from the crash with only some bumps and bruises.
