Spanaway Auto Shop Devastated By Fire
Firefighters battled the blaze along SR 7 throughout the early morning hours Saturday.

SPANAWAY, WA - Firefighters battled a massive fire at an auto wrecking business in Spanaway that broke out early Saturday morning. Firefighters had the blaze under control by around 5 a.m., according to Central Pierce fire.
The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at B&R Auto Wrecking, 19919 Mountain Hwy East. The fire knocked out power to the surrounding neighborhood, and forced the closure of SR 7.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
