State Approves Razor Clam Dig Starting Thursday

Razor clams are now safe to eat, according to marine toxin tests. A limited dig starts Thursday along the Pacific Coast.

OCEAN SHORES, WA - The state Department of Fish and Wildlife is giving shellfish lovers an early Christmas gift this year. The state is opening some Pacific Coast beaches for razor clam harvesting for a limited time this week.

The razor clam dig begins Thursday and lasts through Sunday. Digging is prohibited before noon, and, of course, everyone over age 15 needs a shell fishing license.
