Student Arrested For Carrying Loaded Handgun

Police arrested a high school student who allegedly brought a loaded gun into school.

AUBURN, WA - A high school student is under arrest after carrying a loaded gun into school Wednesday, KOMO News reported. Kent Police identified the student, who was allegedly also involved in a drive-by shooting in Kent last month. School officials and Auburn Police found the student with a loaded handgun.

The news comes on the same day hundreds of students from around the Puget Sound region protested against lax gun control laws. The walk-outs were sparked by the shooting in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., which claimed 17 lives.
