Suspect In Boys' Deaths During Street Race Arrested In Kent

Josue Leyvas Gallegos, 30, allegedly fled the scene when two boys - ages 6 and 8 - were injured during an illegal street race.

KENT, WA - A California man accused of killing two young boys during an illegal street race earlier this month was arrested by federal authorities recently in Kent. Josue Leyvas Gallegos, 30, was captured by U.S. Marshalls when he tried to register a car in Washington.

Gallegos is facing two manslaughter charges in the deaths of Dominick Gonzales, 6, and his 8-year-old brother, Antonio "Tony" Gonzales.

According to Patch reporter Renee Schiavone, Gallegos was racing with another man, Ricardo Zuniga, on May 15 in Mead Valley, Calif. Zuniga hit another car head on, killing the Gonzales brothers. Gallegos allegedly fled the scene without helping.
