Threat Prompts Washington Schools To Cancel Classes
A threat of an attack against "BHS" was posted on Snapchat by a high school student.

BREMERTON, WA - Two schools in Washington with the initials "BHS" canceled classes Friday after a threat surfaced via Snapchat. The threat, which was made by a sophomore in New Mexico, referenced only the initials of the schools, causing districts with "BHS" schools all around the U.S. to cancel classes out of caution.
"Attention all bhs students prepare too feel my wrath tomorrow," the New Mexico student's Snapchat message read.
In Washington, Bremerton High School and the Blaine School District canceled classes. Bethel High School acknowledged the threat, but did not cancel classes.

"We have now learned from local law enforcement that the email threat sent to the Blaine School District on Thursday night in essence mirrors the image (screenshot) referenced in a news article that can be linked by clicking here. This image has indeed been surfacing in multiple jurisdictions across the country," the district posted on its website Friday.
The student in New Mexico who posted the threat confessed and told police he was just joking. The student - who attends Belen High School south of Albuquerque - was immediately suspended and might be charged with a felony.
