Wash. Cat Serial Killer Reward Up To $20,000

Someone has killed eight cats between Port Angeles and Olympia since earlier this year.

OLYMPIA, WA - The reward to catch a cat serial killer operating in Western Washington has increased to $20,000. The groups PETA and the Humane Society of the United States have each donated to the reward total over the last week.

According to Thurston County officials, seven cats have been killed in the Olympia area recently. The cats have been mutilated, including having parts of their spines removed. The cats have been placed in public locations, presumably so they would be easily discovered.

There was also a cat killing in Port Angeles this year. That cat was left mutilated on a playground.
