As the 2017-18 dairy ambassador, Anna Teachman would travel the state promoting dairy products that come from farms in Washington. She completed her term as ambassador three weeks before the accident.

"Throughout the last year, Anna proudly represented Washington’s dairy community through statewide public appearances with business organizations, legislators, thousands of school children, and countless consumers at events to share Washington’s dairy story," the state Dairy Farmers wrote.

Teachman was planning to major in agricultural communications at Oklahoma State University. She became interested in the agricultural industry - dairy cows in particular - through a local 4-H club.

Friends of the Teachman family have established a GoFundMe fundraiser to pay for the costs associated with funerals. The goal is $50,000, and about $20,000 had been raised as of Monday.
