Woman Missing After Fall Over Cedar Ponds Lake Waterfall
The woman was reported missing around 6 p.m. Thursday night.

SULTAN, WA - A 22-year-old woman is missing after falling over a waterfall at Cedar Ponds Lake in rural Snohomish County.
The woman was reported missing Thursday night around 6 p.m. Search crews looked for her until 11 p.m. Search and rescue crews will return to the scene Friday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
The woman was identified as Jazmine Weitlauf of Monroe. Police do not believe she entered the waterfall intentionally.

Spring can be an especially dangerous time for hiking near waterfalls. Rainfall and snowpack melt can create especially strong currents. Cedar Ponds Lake is located south of U.S. 2 south of Sultan.
