The changes stem from new statewide laws clarifying e-bike classifications and aim to improve safety on local streets and trails while aligning Auburn with broader Washington transportation rules.

Auburn Police test drone system designed to assist with 911 calls (auburnexaminer.com) — Auburn police are testing automated drones that fly to 911 calls first, giving officers live video and information before they arrive on scene. The trial, coordinated with Auburn Municipal Airport and governed by FAA rules, has already logged over 50 flights and runs through Oct. 9, with strict limits against general surveillance and detailed reporting after each mission.
3. Seattle man sentenced after deadly robberies that recruited juveniles as young as 15 (krem.com) — A federal judge has sentenced a Seattle man to 17 years in prison for organizing a series of armed robberies that included a holdup at Lucid Cannabis in Auburn. Prosecutors say he recruited juveniles, supplied guns, and drove getaway cars in a crime spree that terrorized dispensaries and banks across the region and left one employee dead, prompting lengthy federal and local sentences.
4.
