• Magnitude 4.2 Earthquake Near Gig Harbor Shakes Puget Sound, Among Washington's Strongest in About a Decade (natureworldnews.com) — A recent magnitude 4.2 earthquake near Gig Harbor shook much of Puget Sound and drew comparisons to a similar 2017 quake west-northwest of Belfair. While no injuries or damage were reported, seismologists say it’s a useful reminder for Belfair-area residents to secure homes, review emergency supplies, and know how to Drop, Cover, and Hold On during future quakes.
