2 More Arrested In Smash-Up Of Local Car Prowl Ring

Bellevue police on Wednesday arrested two people in Kent in connection to the car prowl ring operating around Bellevue and Seattle.

BELLEVUE, WA - Police have arrested two more people in connection to an investigation into a ring of car prowlers operating on the Eastside and in the Seattle area. Last week, police from Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Seattle, and Issaquah working on the investigation - called "Operation Radcliffe" - announced that they had arrested 11 people. The prowlers are allegedly responsible for stealing credit cards from cars parked at local parks, and then converting the credit cards into gift cards at local stores.

On Wednesday, the Bellevue SWAT team traveled to Kent to arrest a 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man. The man was arrested on charges of assault and robbery; police also seized a Glock handgun.

The car prowl ring may have ties to more violent crimes around the region. One of the suspects arrested in connection to the ring was Treshaun Sinclair, 20,who appeared in court July 3. After finding a handgun in his car, police believe he might be connected to recent shootings in Seattle and south King County.

The sting is called "Operation Radcliffe" in memory of Moises Radcliffe, the son of a Seattle police officer who was run over and killed earlier this year at Beaver Lake Park in Sammamish. Radcliffe interrupted a group trying to break into his car just before he was killed.
