2 Recent Child Porn Arrests In Bellevue Amid Increased Emphasis

Bellevue police are devoting extra resources to child pornography investigations, the department says.

BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue police have arrested two men recently on child pornography charges, which the department says is part of an emphasis in response to an increase in complaints about child exploitation.

The most recent arrest happened Wednesday. Police took a 64-year-old man into custody after an investigation prompted by a tip sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators seized computer equipment from the man's downtown apartment.

In late July, police arrested Elliott Butterworth, 23, on child porn charges. He has since been charged by the King County Prosecutor with dealing and possession child porn. He is being held in the King County Jail as his case moves ahead.
