Angry 'Pants Dog' Now Ready For Adoption In Kirkland

The little terrier-Chihuahua mix is angry no more now that he has a warm bed and a steady supply of treats.

BELLEVUE, WA — King County has a famous dog up for adoption.

Pants Dog, the "very angry" pooch found in a Bellevue park two weeks ago dressed in pants and a sweater, became a social media sensation after police tweeted a photo of him during his capture. The tiny dog can be seen snarling as an officer tries to catch him.

Now Pants Dog is ready for you to take him home. He's at the Regional Animal Services of King County adoption center inside the Petco in Kirkland. The Jack Russell terrier-Chihuahua mix came to the shelter after he was rescued and was a little upset when he arrived at the shelter. But animal control technician Emily Ruppert was able to calm him down. He's also been renamed "Robin" after the name of the park where he was found.

"I was able to remove the blanket and remove his clothes at that point and just got him more comfortable with me. And then I just went in with treats every day for a couple of days, every couple of hours I would go in and hang out with him and then eventually it got the point where he just wanted to hang out with me all the time, so it was good,” Ruppert said in a RASKC blog post on Monday.

Here's Ruppert playing with Robin at the RASKC shelter - and it appears he's not very angry anymore. RASKC has already received a number of inquires about Robin, so he may not be available for adoption for long.
