Backpack & School Supply Drive to Honor Local Teen Nicole Lehtinen

The YMCA of Greater Seattle is hosting the 9th Annual Backpack & School Supply Drive to honor local teen Nicole Lehtinen who died tragically on August 2, 2008 in a car accident.

After losing her dad when she was six years old, Nicole's mother could no longer car for her and her sister. The day they left their mother was an unforgettable day in their lives - it was the last day they would see their mom, and all Nicole had was her backpack. Nicole was fortunate to have extended family support and she grew into a strong, beautiful young person who loved her friends and family. Unfortunately her life was cut short by a car accident at the age of 16.
