Bellevue Arts Museum Exhibition - The Art of Gaman: Arts and Crafts from the Japanese American Internment Camps 1942-1946

This poignant exhibition
features arts and crafts from the Japanese American Internment Camps (1942
-1946). Over 120 works of art and objects of daily use, made from found
materials, are a testament to the perseverance, resourcefulness, spirit, and
humanity of the internees. Gaman (pronounced gáh-mon) means to endure the
seemingly unbearable with patience and dignity.
