Bellevue Bikeway Grand Opening Is Today
Bellevue's demonstration bikeway will have its grand opening Tuesday, complete with bike share e-bikes.

BELLEVUE, WA - The city will host a grand opening for the downtown demonstration bikeway Tuesday morning. The bikeway stretches from Main Street to Northeast 12th Street along 108th Street Northwest and offers cyclists a combination of protected and shared bike lanes.
Bellevue began planning the bikeway in 2016, and paid for it with funds from the Neighborhood Safety, Connectivity, and Congestion Levy. Over the last few months, construction crews narrowed 108th Street to separate the bikeway from traffic with painted markings and planter boxes.
The bikeway will eventually be part of a corridor that stretches from the SR 520 trail to the I-90 trail.
