Bellevue Cop Hit By SUV While Pursuing Shoplifter
The incident happened Saturday night in the Factoria area.

BELLEVUE, WA - A Bellevue police officer was injured Saturday night by a suspect fleeing the scene of a crime in an SUV. The suspect is accused of shoplifting in the Factoria area, and hit the officer while trying to escape the scene. Bellevue police say that the officer is OK, and suffered some bruising.
After hitting the officer, the suspect fled westbound on I-90 and was pursued by Guardian One, the King County Sheriff's search helicopter. The incident happened near the Marketplace at Factoria shopping center along Factoria Boulevard Southeast.
According to KOMO News, the suspect was driving a blue Mercedes SUV with no license plates.
