Bellevue Developer Lobsang Dargey Pleads Guilty To Federal Charges
Dargey appeared in federal court on Wednesday and entered a guilt plea as part of an agreement.

SEATTLE, WA - Bellevue developer Lobsang Dargey entered a guilty plea in federal court Wednesday on charges of fraud and concealing information from the federal government.
Federal prosecutors in Seattle charged Dargey, 42, on Tuesday, alleging that he defrauded some 250 Chinese investors be telling them they could get a green card through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Pilot Program if they invested in his projects.
The Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that Dargey raised some $125 million from investors for projects such as an Everett farmers' market and a skyscraper in downtown Seattle. The SEC alleges that Darbey diverted $14 million from those projects to other ones, and used some of the money for casino withdrawals and to buy a $2.5 million home.

Dargey could face up to 10 years in prison.
