Bellevue Firefighters Rescue Person From Balcony During Fire

The fire broke out Tuesday night in a building south of the downtown area.

BELLEVUE, WA - Bellevue firefighters rescued one person during a fire at a Bellevue apartment complex Tuesday night. No other injuries were reported during the fire.

The fire broke out just after 8 p.m. along the 400 block of 101st Avenue Southeast, just south of the downtown area. During the fire, Bellevue firefighters used a ladder truck to rescue an apartment dweller from a balcony.

The fire was contained to just one apartment, according to firefighters. Everyone else in the building - including pets - was accounted for.
