Bellevue Man Cited In Kitsap Diesel Spill: WSP

The 62-year-old truck driver crashed near a gas station, causing the spill of over 100 gallons of diesel, according to state patrol.

BELLFAIR, WA - A 62-year-old semi driver from Bellevue crashed early Friday morning near Belfair, causing a 100-plus gallon diesel fuel spill, according to Washington State Patrol.

Around 12:30 a.m., James Paulson was driving southbound along SR 3 when he allegedly crossed into the northbound lane and hit a concrete barrier, according to state patrol. Paulson continued to drive the damaged truck to a nearby 76 gas station.

According to police, the semi tractor leaked about 100 gallons between the scene of the accident and the gas station.

Paulson was not injured, but state patrol cited him for improper lane use.
