Bellevue Man Killed By Street Sweeper Identified
The 44-year-old was found dead under the street sweeper Monday afternoon.

BELLEVUE, WA - The man killed by a street sweeper in Bellevue Monday afternoon has been identified as Alexandru Culai, 44, a Bellevue resident. Culai died of injuries to the head and chest, according to the King County Medical Examiner.
Culai was hit by the street sweeper just before 11 a.m. Monday along the 1300 block of 120th Avenue Northeast. The Seattle Times reported that Culai was kneeling down near the street sweeper when he was hit. The street sweeper was backing up when it hit Culai, according to police.
The street sweeper was being driven by a worker from a nearby construction site. The driver cooperated with police and did not show any signs of impairment, according to Bellevue police.

According to Culai's Facebook profile, he taught music at the G9 School of Music.
