Bellevue Officer Will Compete On CBS' 'The Amazing Race'

The officer will compete on the upcoming season 29 of CBS' "Amazing Race."

BELLEVUE, WA - Bellevue police Officer Seth Tyler will be a contestant on the upcoming season of the long-running CBS series "The Amazing Race."

Tyler, 37, will compete with 21 other strangers - a format first for the series - in a race around the world. Tyler will be paired with another random contestant when the race starts.

"For years, The Amazing Race fans have suggested we line up complete strangers and match them up at the starting line to see what would happen," the show's host, Phil Keoghan, said in a press release. "These newbie racers begin with no pre-existing relationships or emotional baggage, and the excitement of traveling around the world to complete dozens of gut-busting, mind-blowing challenges quickly ignites tension."
