Bellevue PD To Host Forum On Homelessness, Opioid Crisis
The public safety forum will be held at the Bellevue Library on June 26.
BELLEVUE, WA — Bellevue police will host a forum on June 26 to talk about community concerns related to homelessness and the opioid crisis. Representatives from the King County Library System will also be on hand to answer questions.
The event coincides with a series of neighborhood walks that kick off June 20. The walks will allow citizens to meet and talk with the city manager and department heads. Here's the neighborhood walk lineup:
- West Bellevue: June 20, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Surrey Downs Park North Entry
- Eastside Rail Corridor Trail: June 26, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at South Kirkland Park and Ride
- Woodridge: July 10, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Woodridge Elementary School
- West Lake Sammamish: July 17, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sunset Elementary School
- Eastgate: July 18, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Eastgate Elementary School

Bellevue Police will host a public safety meeting with the King County Library System to discuss the department’s compassionate law enforcement approach to homelessness, the opioid crisis, and general safety concerns. Please join us Wednesday, June 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the downtown Bellevue Library located at 1111 110th Ave NE. Other community agencies will also be present to answer questions about their services and partnerships with the police department and other organizations. Please join us!
