The police department said an off-duty officer was arrested during a domestic disturbance Thursday morning.
BELLEVUE, WA — A Bellevue police officer is on administrative leave after being arrested in Redmond Thursday morning, the police department announced Friday.
A news release does not identify the officer by name, saying only that the employee is 48-years-old and has been with the department for three years. Police said the off-duty officer was booked into jail following a domestic disturbance call involving a family member in Redmond.
The officer will remain on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation and an internal probe by Bellevue Police Department's Office of Accountability.
