Bellevue Police Search For Bank Robbery Suspect

Police said a man wearing a construction vest robbed a bank near downtown then fled to the Kelsey Creek area Tuesday afternoon.

BELLEVUE, WA — A large police response deployed to Bellevue's Kelsey Creek neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon as officers searched for the suspect in a bank robbery. In a social media post, the Bellevue Police Department said a man wearing a yellow construction vest robbed a bank along the 10300 block of Northeast 10th Street, just north of downtown, a few minutes before 3:30 p.m.

Police said the man fled the area in a vehicle and the search continued about an hour later near the International School, along 128th Avenue Southeast. Details on the specifics of the robbery, including whether the man was armed or how much money was taken, were not immediately available. The department shared a short description of the man they were looking for on Twitter.
