Bellevue Roommates' Fight Over Noisy Cooking Ends In Assault

Sometimes it's the little things. Bellevue police recently arrested a person for assaulting their roommate over dish noise.

BELLEVUE, WA — A fight between two roommates over noisy kitchen activity ended in one arrest recently, according to police.

The incident happened around midnight on May 10 at a home along 150th Avenue Southeast. One of the roommates called 911 to report being assaulted by the other roommate after they fought over noisy cooking and dish-cleaning.

When police arrived, they discovered it was the roommate who called 911 who actually carried out the assault, pushing the other roommate and causing "visible injury."

Burglary/Mental Health, 14800 block of Southeast 46th Street
The suspect was asked to leave a residence and tried to re-enter to retrieve a forgotten wallet and drugs. The homeowner called police on re-entry and suspect was arrested for burglary and drugs. The victim was taken to the hospital for an evaluation

Robbery, 700 block of 148th Avenue Southeast
An hour after two suspects and the victim had an argument, the suspects entered the victim’s car and grabbed the keys. The victim confronted the suspects wanting his keys back. One suspect pulled a weapon out and threatened the victim. Both suspects fled on foot. Perimeter officers at LA Fitness located and detained the suspects. Both were arrested and booked into jail.

May 9

Warrant/ID Theft, 11200 block of Southeast 6th Street
Officers contacted the suspects after a neighboring agency alerted them to the suspects using stolen credit cards. The suspects admitted to using the fake credit cards. The officers discovered various materials for creating fake ID’s, suspected drugs and paraphernalia. The suspect also had outstanding warrants and were arrested and booked into jail.

May 10

Burglary, 5100 block of Lakemont Boulevard Southeast
Police responded to a burglary alarm and discovered that the drive-thru window had been broken out and unknown suspect(s) had made entry, stealing items. A perimeter was established and K9 tracking was initiated. The K9 tracked the suspect for a distance, then lost it. There have been 2 other recent Burglary Calls at this business with matching the suspect description. (04/28 19-21790, 05-07 19-23567)

Domestic Disturbance/DUI, 360 block of 122nd Place Northeast
The suspect pushed the victim and rammed into a parked car in the driveway four times. The suspect walked from his car down the driveway, where officers located him. He failed to follow instructions and when officers attempted to detain him for the domestic disturbance, he attempted to pull away from officers. The suspect was arrested after use of force and investigated for DUI with a blood draw. He was booked into jail.

Domestic Disturbance, 1600 block of 103rd Place Northeast
Officers investigated the suspect for assaulting his girlfriend and breaking her cell phone. When the officers attempted to contact the suspect at his residence, he slammed the door and went to the back sliding glass door where another officer contacted him. The suspect retreated to the kitchen where officers heard him say he would not go back to jail and saw him arm himself with a weapon. The suspect’s mother let officers in. The suspect had a self-inflicted wound on his leg and was taken into custody without incident. On the way to the hospital, the suspect damaged the interior of the ambulance and kicked an officer. He was treated at the hospital, arrested and booked into jail.

May 11

Domestic Disturbance, 12600 block of Northeast 10th Place
Two subjects became involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. The victim sustained abrasions and bite marks. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into jail.

Assault/DUI, Coal Creek Pkwy and Forrest Drive
The suspect was involved in a one-car crash. As Firefighters attempted to put the suspect in an ambulance, the suspect became argumentative and tried to leave the scene. As an officer tried to detain the suspect in handcuffs; she broke free, punched one officer in the face then punched the other officer as he moved in to assist. The suspect was handcuffed without incident. Neither officer was injured. The suspect was evaluated at the hospital. She was booked into jail.

May 12

Suspicious Circumstances, 900 block of 124th Avenue Northeast
The victim reported that an unknown female suspect entered her apartment. The female suspect left the apartment crying and was not located.

Domestic Disturbance, 3000 block of Mt. Baker Boulevard
An officer investigated an assault complaint at the hospital where a female victim was being treated for a human bite injury. It was discovered the dispute happened inside the suspect’s car in Seattle. The case was referred to the Seattle Police Department who is investigating that incident.
