Bobcat Family Spotted In Bellevue Backyard
The animals were seen at a home near Kelsey Creek Park recently.

BELLEVUE, WA - A Bellevue homeowner was surprised recently by a bobcat family sleeping in the backyard. The cats were spotted at a home along the 500 block of 128th Avenue Southeast just after midnight on May 21. The home is in between Wilburton Hill Park and Kelsey Creek Park.
According to Bellevue police, state Department of Wildlife officials advised the homeowner to leave the cats alone, and that the family would probably move along by itself. The bobcats have not been seen since, police reported.

May 21
Baseball bat fight, 900 164th Ave NE - Caller reported several subjects fighting with baseball bats. As Officers responded all subjects left in several vehicles. Officer located an involved vehicle which was stopped. Occupant of the vehicle said he had not been assaulted even though he had a minor injury to his face. Unknown who other involved parties are.

May 22
Basketball at someone else's house, 9800 NE 21st St - Homeowner observed on a security camera the suspect walk through a side gate and into the back yard. House is currently for sale. Officers arrived and the suspect was detained after he was found playing basketball in the backyard. No entry attempted into the residence and it was discovered the suspect lives next door. Suspect released and told not to return to the property.
Attempted sex assault, 16200 NE 24th St - Victim was walking to her vehicle in the parking lot. Victim stated she was attacked by 2-3 males. She kicked and screamed at which point the suspects fled. Detectives notified.
Possible school threat, Newport High School - Several students and their parents were concerned due to social media posts regarding a student who was expelled due to statements that he made during a class. A SRO investigated the case and determined that the student was not a threat to the school or anyone else including himself.
Overdose, 1400 156 Ave NE - Caller reported that a female was overdosing in the bathroom of the restaurant. Officers arrived and found the unresponsive female in the bathroom. Officers began chest compressions and retrieved an AED. Two rounds of chest compressions were done prior to fire arriving. Narcan was administered and the female began to regain consciousness. Female was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
May 26
Body found, 4200 153 Ave SE - Victim was found deceased in his bedroom by the Landlord. Suspected overdose.
May 27
Man with hammer, Bellevue Transit Center - Citizens called in about a suspicious male hitting things with a hammer and swinging it around aimlessly at the transit Center. Officers contacted the suspect, who said he was just making music and this would not have been a problem in Seattle. The male gave the hammer to the officers for safe keeping. He also commented, “give the hammer to the Chief as a gift, he would like it.”
