Body Of Bellevue Man Recovered Near Deception Pass
Investigators said the 67-year-old Bellevue man disappeared while scuba diving in Bowman Bay on Sunday.

BELLEVUE, WA — The body of a missing Bellevue scuba diver was recovered Tuesday, two days after the 67-year-old man disappeared in Bowman Bay at Deception Pass State Park. The Skagit Valley Herald reports the man was an experienced diver and was reported missing after he did not resurface from a dive on Sunday.
According to the Associated Press, several agencies responded to assist in the search including deputies from Island and Skagit counties and help from the U.S. Coast Guard. The initial search was called off after about four hours.
On Tuesday evening, the Skagit Valley Herald reported the man's body had been recovered and would be formally identified by the Skagit County Coroner's Office. Investigators said no foul play was suspected.
