Boil Water Advisory Issued For Bellevue Neighborhood (Update)

BREAKING: A water main break early Thursday has spurred a boil water advisory for one Bellevue neighborhood.

BELLEVUE, WA - City officials have issued a boil water advisory for a neighborhood in Bellevue after a water main break early this morning. The advisory may last up to 48 hours, city officials say.

The boil water advisory affects about 200 homes between Northeast 8th Street and West Lake Sammamish Parkway Northeast.

After the water main break, water was shut off to 25 homes. City crews will flush the affected pipes, and then test water quality. They will update the advisory based on those tests.

City officials say that any water in the affected area used to clean dishes, cook, drink, or brush teeth should be boiled.
