Holiday Song Exposé: Song Concealed Critical Sub-text
Some holiday songs fail to mention the social implications stemming from following their directions.

Males and females unite!
I propose that truth in advertising legislation be expanded to include songs and lyrics that confuse adults of childbearing age and support unbridled population growth.
I reached this position after considering a song I overheard on Garrison Keillor’s Prairie Home Companion radio program Sunday morning, a holiday song called "Let's Stay Inside." It was sung by a breathlessly alluring female who crooned to her listener, “Let’s stay inside,” repeatedly.

I sincerely hope she was addressing her soul-mate; one with whom she was united in holy wedlock. However, I couldn’t help but wonder whether the oh-so-enthusiastic singer was fully aware of the implications of her plea -- namely, pregnancy and 20 years of motherhood.
After all, if one were to eschew going out and choose instead to spend intimate time indoors on a cold day with ones mate, well, what will likely be an inevitable outcome, nine months hence?

I consider this song to be an example of “bait and switch” strategy and I call upon all males and females to unite and ensure that songs with such a population-busting subtext be clearly labeled.
Stay inside if that is what you want, but be very, very careful.
