Brush Fire Breaks Out In Bellevue Near Mercer Slough
Warm temperatures and windy conditions fed the fire, according to Bellevue fire officials.

BELLEVUE, WA - Bellevue firefighter struggled to contain a brush fire that broke out near the Mercer Slough on Tuesday afternoon amid breezy, warm weather.
The fire was reported around 3:30 p.m., and was under control at that time. The fire was located in forest along 118th Avenue Southeast just north of I-90. Six Bellevue fire units responded to the fire.
Bellevue's brush fire wasn't the only one on Tuesday as temperatures approached 80 degrees in some spots.

In Seattle, a fire broke out underneath I-5 near the James Street exit downtown. Firefighters in central Pierce County responded to two brush fires. One grew to three acres after a burn pile fire got out of control.
