Bullets Hit 2 Bellevue Homes, Police See Connection

Someone opened fire on two different houses in Bellevue recently, missing women who were home at the time.

BELLEVUE, WA - Two homes less than a mile apart were hit by bullets recently, and Bellevue police think the incidents might be connected. Both homes were hit by two bullets, and women inside the homes were nearly hit in each incident.

The first shooting happened just before midnight last Monday. A girl was using the bathroom at a home along the 1000 block of Northrup Way when two bullets pierced a window. The girl was not harmed.

The second incident happened around 3 a.m. at a home along the 800 block of 164th Place Northeast, about 3,000 feet from the scene of the first shooting as the crow flies. A woman was sleeping in her home and narrowly missed getting hit by two bullets.

Police did not locate any witnesses or suspects, but were able to recover bullets and shell casings. Detectives are still investigating the incidents.
