Downed Eagle Rescued By Trooper On 520
The trooper found the eagle lying in the eastbound lanes of the freeway.

BELLEVUE, WA - A Washington State Patrol trooper rescued an injured eagle Sunday found lying in the eastbound lanes of SR 520. The bird was found midway across the floating bridge over Lake Washington, according to state patrol.
The trooper took the eagle to PAWS in Lynnwood. Happily, the staff told state patrol the eagle was alive - despite how it looked in the above photo. PAWS is an animal shelter, but also assists in rehabilitating wild animals.
The trooper's rescue follows some recent bad news for eagles in the state.
