Video: Garbage Truck Lifts Downed Tree Off Bellevue Street
A downed tree was blocking both directions of the Lake Hills Connector around noon Monday - until a garbage truck operator had an idea.

BELLEVUE, WA - A downed tree was blocking both directions of the Lake Hills Connector Monday afternoon - until a garbage truck operator cleared the tree himself.
Around noon, a downed tree was blocking both directions of the Lake Hills Connector between Richards Road and Southeast 8th Street. Bellevue police advised drivers that city crews would be on the way to clear the obstacle.
Until the garbage truck decided to go ahead and take care of it.

The truck used its front arms - usually reserved for lifting Dumpsters - to pick the tree up. Here's the video of the truck moving the tree:
