Dozens Of Bellevue Teens Seize Empty House For Party: Police

BELLEVUE, WA - A band of some 40 teens took over a vacant house in Bellevue recently to throw a party, according the latest police blotter. The teens caused plenty of damage to the house, which was up for sale.
The party happened Nov. 24 at a home along the 9800 block of Northeast 15th Street, just south of Clyde Hill. Police caught the teens in the act and made multiple arrests.
Some teens were released at the scene, and plenty of parents were notified.

Hit and Run at 124th AVE NE / NE 8 St
The suspect ran a red light on 124th AVE NE and hit a sedan going eastbound on NE 8 ST, causing it to spin out with heavy damage. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled southbound and didn’t stop until the 12200 block of Main ST where the driver got out to assess his damage. A witness chased the suspect down and blocked him in at the location. The suspect was contacted and taken into custody for hit-and-run.
Domestic Disturbance at 400 blk Bellevue Way SE
A juvenile suspect attacked his mother after she confronted him about his skipping school and grades. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Case forwarded to prosecutor.
Nov. 21
Hit and Run at 300 blk Bellevue Way SE
A juvenile female was given permission to drive his father’s vehicle even though she did not have a driver’s license. She pulled out of her apartment complex and struck a vehicle driving down Bellevue Way. She pulled over and stated that she thought the other driver was supposed to slow down to let her out. She then left without exchanging information, drove down Bellevue Way at a high rate of speed, and crashed into a tree. The suspect was arrested for hit and run and booked.
Nov. 22
Stolen Property/Warrants at NE 24th St /124th Ave. NE
The victim of a previously reported burglary was walking his dogs and noticed a subject near Viewpoint Nature Park with a bicycle that looked just like the one that was stolen from his garage. The suspect was contacted by an officer who was able to determine that it was indeed the stolen bike. The suspect was arrested and the recovered bicycle was returned to its owner.
Malicious Mischief at 6000 blk 166th Ave SE
A resident walking trails in the area found apparent malicious damage to several trees. The resident provided possible suspect information. Initial damage estimate – $3000.
Nov. 23
Robbery at Bellevue Way / NE 4th St
A group of juveniles confronted another group of juveniles in the area of Mod Pizza. The suspects kicked and punched one of the juveniles in an apparent effort to steal his coat and shoes. Officers responded and detained several subjects. The victim positively identified 2 subjects involved in the robbery. The subjects were arrested and transported to youth detention.
Robbery at 100 blk Bellevue Way SE
Six to seven males entered a restaurant. Two of the males took milkshakes that were sitting on the counter and ran towards the front doors. An employee attempted to stop them and was pushed and kicked. The suspects got into two separate vehicles and left prior to police arrival.
Nov. 24
Contact at I-405 off ramp to NE 8th St.
Officers were called to the area for a report of a possible homeless camp and smell of smoke. A subject was contacted and advised to not start a fire. This information will be forwarded to WSDOT who is believed to own that piece of property.
Fraud at 2400 blk 144th Ave SE
A victim called to report a phone scam that involved an unknown suspect alleging the victim mailed an “illegal package” to China. The suspect required the victim to wire money to avoid arrest by Chinese Police. The victim wired funds, before contacting the local police. The victim was advised to report the incident to the FBI internet crimes division.
