Driver Hits Pedestrian Crossing Bellevue Street
Police said a driver hit an elderly man in a Northeast Bellevue crosswalk.

BELLEVUE, WA — An elderly man using a crosswalk was injured Friday when a driver struck him in a Northeast Bellevue. Police said the man was crossing near 156th Avenue Northeast and Northup Way when the vehicle hit him, shortly before 1:30 p.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed no signs of impairment with the driver, police said. Officers at the scene launched a drone to map out the crash scene but asked drivers to avoid the intersection until it was reopened.
An elderly male was in the crosswalk when he was hit. The driver is on scene & talking with investigators. There is no sign of impairment.
