Free First Friday Lecture: History of African American Quilts with Gwen Maxwell-Williams

Join nationally-recognized artist and scholar, Gwen Maxwell-Williams for a discussion on the quilts in the exhibit “Bold Expressions.” Gwen will provide a brief survey of the Gee’s Bend quilt movement, The Pacific Northwest African-American Quilters and speak about her own explorations as a fiber artist.
