Evergreen Point Home Burglarized, Suspect Caught

The burglary happened early Thursday morning, according to Medina police.

MEDINA, WA - Bellevue and Medina police worked together early Thursday morning to catch a suspected burglar, according to police.

Police responded to a home along the 2600 block of Evergreen Point Road around 1:30 a.m. on a report of a burglary. The suspect apparently entered the detached garage at the home through an open door.

Bellevue police responded with a K9 and were able to track down the burglar near the scene of the crime, according to Medina police.

Police warned local residents - even in the safest enclaves - to always lock doors and windows.

"Please keep a watchful eye on our community and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911. If your home is equipped with an alarm system, activate it whenever you are away and always lock your doors and windows even when you are home," wrote in a statement about the incident.
