Expedia CEO Picked To Lead Uber
Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi was picked by the Uber board to lead the company, according to reports.

BELLEVUE, WA - The Uber board has picked Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi to lead the company in the wake of co-founder Travis Kalanick's resignation in June. The news was first reported by the tech blog Recode Sunday, but Uber told Recode it would not publicly announce the new CEO until the company's employees are informed of the decision.
Other CEOs in the running for the Uber job included Meg Whitman and former GE chief Jeff Immelt. Recode reported Khosrowshahi has not actually officially been offered the job as of 7 p.m. PST Sunday.
Khosrowshahi has served as Expedia's CEO since 2005, and before that was CEO of IAC Travel.
