BELLEVUE, WA - A three-alarm fire destroyed a commercial building inside a business park Tuesday night. The fire was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at a commercial building along Northeast 20th Street. A total of nine units at the Columbia Business Park were destroyed, according to the Bellevue fire department.

The fire caused about $1 million in damage to the building, according to the fire department. Fire crews from Mercer Island, Redmond, and Kirkland responded to help put out the fire. The fire was under control by 11 p.m.

Firefighters at one point had to cut holes in the roof of the building to stop the spread of the fire. Although nine units of the building were destroyed, firefighters saved about half of the units in the office park.
